Top Homogenizer Vacuum Emulsifier

Top-Drive Vacuum Emulsifier for Hygienic, High-Shear Homogenization

What Is a Top Homogenizer Vacuum Emulsifier

The top homogenizer vacuum emulsifier is an innovative machine that adopts a top drive device and is renowned for its high hygiene and safety standards. Since it is not directly immersed in materials, it fundamentally eliminates the risk of material contamination caused by wear of sealing parts and lubricant leakage, and better complies with GMP cleanliness requirements for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

Forward and reverse stirring

The equipment employs a mixing mode consisting of forward rotation followed by reverse rotation, thereby avoiding the inertial phenomenon similar to that observed in washing machines during spin cycles caused by unidirectional mixing.

After prolonged single-direction stirring, the materials are prone to forming a cohesive rotating mass along the direction of stirring.

Alternating forward and reverse rotation can disrupt the unidirectional movement of the material, enabling thorough mixing.

Generally, stirring for approximately 2–3 minutes will achieve a good preliminary mixing result.

Scrape Plate Design

The agitation system is equipped with scrapers designed primarily to remove material adhering to the vessel walls.

Viscous products—such as ointments—tend to stick to the heated walls of the vessel during the heating process. If this accumulation persists over time, it can lead to issues such as:

  • Localized overheating
  • Charring of the accumulated material
  • Uneven heating of the product
  • Compromised final product quality

Therefore, scrapers are required to continuously remove material from the vessel walls and return it to the mixing zone.

The material for Senieer scrapers can be selected based on customer requirements and the specific application of the equipment; relevant material certification can also be provided.

Homogenization and Emulsification

For ointment products, after stirring is complete, the mixture proceeds to the homogenization or emulsification process.

When producing conventional creams, the homogenization time is typically controlled within 20 minutes; the exact duration should be determined based on the properties of the raw materials and the process requirements.

The homogenization head is the core component.

Although referred to by various names in the industry, homogenizing heads (or emulsifying heads) are actually configured with different structures based on material characteristics.

The design of a homogenizing head must take into account:

  • Material viscosity
  • Flowability
  • Particle characteristics
  • Product type
  • Specific process requirements

In the absence of special material requirements, a standard homogenizing head suitable for most conventional materials can be used, covering approximately 80% to 90% of standard applications.

Specialized designs are required for the production of unique, high-viscosity products.

Current Product: Top Homogenizer Vacuum Emulsifier

High-shear vacuum homogenizing emulsifiers are widely used in production scenarios with small to medium batch sizes, medium-to-low viscosity materials, and high cleanliness requirements.

All parts that come into contact with processing materials are generally made of 304/316L stainless steel, and support CIP (cleaning-in-place). High-end models are equipped with a PLC touch control system, which enables precise regulation of rotating speed, vacuum degree and temperature parameters. This ensures consistent product quality between batches and makes the equipment suitable for large-scale industrial production.
