In the pharmaceutical industry, the requirements for drug making are very strict, which must meet GMP and related hygienic&safe standards. Many medicinal herbs and drugs are sensitive to moisture or heat, in this condition, roller compactor is very suitable for dealing with them, as it is dry granulation and don’t need solvents or drying steps.

Senieer roller compactor/dry granulator is specially designed for the pharmaceuticals. It can be used to handle a variety of medicines such as coronary drugs, antibiotics, analgesics, etc.

Roller compactor, also called dry granulator, is mainly used to enhance bulk density of granules and reducing the particle size of powders through the compaction and milling methods. The full containment structure can also effectively avoid the dust accumulation and achieve dust-free handling.

The working process of roller compactor mainly contains two steps: compaction and milling. Roller compaction is a way of compacting powders into a solid forms like flakes or ribbons. This process can significantly enhance the density of powder materials and is achieved by two opposite and counter-rotating rollers.

After compaction, is the milling process. The compacted sheets or flakes of ingredients are then through the milling part of machine. In there, the compacted ingredients are milled into desired size of granules by oscillating mill.

In addition, the selection of screen is important as it determines the size of final granule products. Senieer roller compactor in pharma also supports replacing screens conveniently.  

Tablets or capsules need materials with good flowability and density, which need to adopt dry granulation(roller compactor).

This model is mainly used for the new dosage development&research and small capacity of dosage production of drug research institute.

The minimum feed quantity is 5g, especially designed small sample device for precious raw material drugs. It is a necessary granulation equipment for precious and sensitive drugs and is widely used in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industry.

In addition, this machine is equipped with a small amount of material testing device. Only use 20g material can learn about the material properties by granulation, significantly reducing the research and development costs.
