Product Details of Laboratory Roller Compactor

The laboratory roller compactor presses the powder raw material directly into granules through mechanical pressure without adding moisture or binders, this process avoids the problem of solvent residues in traditional wet granulation, ensuring product purity and safety. Its core process is divided into three steps                                     Feeding-Pressing-Granulation

Feeding stage

The powder raw material is uniformly conveyed to the tableting area through a feeding mechanism (such as a screw). Some models adopt horizontal feeding design, which effectively reduces the loss of unpressed fine powder under the action of gravity and improves the particle yield.

Tablet pressing stage

the material is driven by the hydraulic mechanism and extruded into thin sheets by two pressing rollers at the set pressure, rotational speed and gap. The surface texture of the roller (e.g. straight, anilox, or glossy) is customized according to the material characteristics, preventing slippage and optimizing compaction. In this stage, the feeding speed is controlled by frequency conversion and stepless speed regulation, and the oil pump pressure can be adjusted to adapt to different materials.

Granulation stage

After the formed flakes are cut by a crushing knife, they are granulated through a screen to obtain uniform particles of desired particle size. The mesh number of the screen can be changed to realize the flexible adjustment of particle fineness and meet the needs of diverse experiments.
