The minimum particle size of processed materials can reach 5μm (largely influenced by material characteristics). Suitable for dry ultrafine grinding of various brittle, crystalline, heat-sensitive, and medium-to-low hardness materials. Working Principle Of Pin Mill
.The pin mill is designed for dry grinding of materials ranging from soft to medium-hard. The material to be processed is fed uniformly through a metering system to the center of the stationary disc, where a gentle air flow enhances material flow. Upon entering the stationary disc’s center, the material is subjected to centrifugal force as the rotating disc accelerates. During this process, the material undergoes shearing, collision, and friction between the moving and stationary discs’ needle teeth, along with intermaterial impact and friction, resulting in further pulverization into finer particles. As the material moves outward from the stationary disc’s center, its linear velocity increases, producing progressively finer particles. Once the target particle size is achieved, the material exits the grinding chamber through the discharge port. The particle size can be precisely controlled by adjusting the rotating speed of the moving disc and the feeding rate.
